ABC's of Victory

My dear friends, I would first like to apologize for my absence. I have been going through a mighty storm and I am still holding on tight to Jesus' curtail until I have made it safely to the other side! I want to thank the Lord for lighting a match to the wicker of my soul, that despite my turmoil, I still have a yearning to push through and praise His sweet, Holy name! Amen!

Last night, during some prayer and meditation on the Word, God put something on my heart. I refer to it as the ABC's of victory although technically the acronym only make sense if you read it backwards! So just bare with me, please. It will start to make sense, I promise!

God has planted in all of us the expectancy and desire to see more come to pass in our lives. We may be wanting to expand our ministry, change our occupations, strengthen our relationships with loved ones, etc (this list is not exhaustive). Whatever burning desire you have in you will only come to pass until you have conceived it and the plan of action that will ensue. Nobody got anywhere in life just by worrying about their current situation, stressing over their finances or over their failing marriages. No, positive change can only take root in our lives when we have decided to make a change. With that said, it doesn't happen overnight and I only encourage you to do so after consulting with God, through prayer and meditation on His Word. Yes, sometimes we have to heed to that little voice inside--I call that the voice of God. In Isaiah 55:9, the Lord says, "As high as the heavens are above the earth, so high are my ways above your ways".

When you have aligned your vision with that of which God has called you, we must start believing for it. Can you envision your ministry expanding to where thousands (or maybe millions) of lives are being saved? Can you imagine holding down a job that serves purpose in your life? A job that you don't dread waking up to every morning? Can you imagine rekindling a relationship with a friend or family member that has burned you in the past? Or can you imagine loving your spouse whole-heartedly, despite his/her faults, or despite his/her wrongdoings? God can. He wants you to see it and believe it before He opens up the floodgates and pours out His blessings into your life. You have to believe that the Lord is more capable than you can ever imagine to bring visualization into fruition. To continue with the passage in Isaiah 55, verse 10-11 state, "For just as from the heavens the rain and snow come down and do not return there till they have watered the earth, making it fertile and fruitful, giving seed to him who sows and bread to him who eats, so shall my word be that goes forth from my mouth; it shall not return to me void, but shall do my will, achieving the end for which I sent".

This passage from the Bible brings me to my last point, ACHIEVE! There will come a point in each of our lives where we may be tried and tested. The enemy wants to see you fall off course from that straight and narrow pathway that you are living in order to receive the victory God has in store for you! Do not lose focus. Keep your eyes on Him! He wants so badly to see you achieve the fullness and abundance of glory that He has waiting for you on the other side! Nobody said that the road would be easy, but are you willing to sacrifice everything for the Lord? If so, be ready to open your hands out wide to receive the victory the good Lord will release unto you. You have achieved it!!!!

I don't know about you, but I am so ready to follow these three basic principles as I serve the Lord. So, here are the ABC's of Victory (backwards) summed up for you:

Conceive

Believe

Achieve

I love you and thank you for taking the time out to read my blogs. May God plant in you a great vision that will take you further in your faith walk as you continue to serve the Lord and remain in pursuit of His love, honor, kindness, and mercy. May you believe and hold tight to your faith regardless of the attacks that may come your way until you have reached that moment of victory. To me the greatest victory is to hear the words of the Lord, "Well done my good and faithful servant"!

With that said, take on the week with these three principles: Conceive, Believe, Achieve...

And Stay Encouraged!!!
