He Will Meet You Where You're At

"Oh taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!" Psalm 34:8

Indescribable joy wells up in my heart when I think about the goodness of the Lord. His mercy, His kindness, forgiveness, grace, and joy are all gifts we can receive. They are the unspeakable riches of Christ. To know Christ means we have engaged in His love, adhered to His wisdom, and submit to His admonishment. The only way we can fully experience the love of Christ is when we can bear witness to His work in our lives.

I want to address those who are in a trying time in their life. You might be saying: I am in a dark place. How can I overcome? How will I dig myself out of this mess? Sometimes, you may question if the Lord has forsaken you. However, I believe I am here today to remind you that the Lord has NEVER forsaken His children. You are a precious, valuable, child of God. If you feel He is no longer pursuing you. It is time to ask yourself, how and through what means have you been trying to pursue Him? As I begin to ponder upon this question, a scripture comes to mind. Psalm 89:30 states, "If his sons forsake My law and do not walk in my judgements, if they break My statutes and do not keep My commandments, Then I will punish their transgression with the rod, And their iniquity with stripes. Nevertheless My lovingkindness I will not utterly take from him, Nor allow My faithfulness to fail."

Wow! How powerful is that word? This promise ensures us that regardless of where we are in our lives or how far out of the will of God we are, He will continue to love us and pursue us unfailingly. Yes, you may be in a dark valley and it could be a result of the actions that YOU chose to make. However, if you are willing to listen and adhere to the voice of reason, meaning the voice of the ONE TRUE HIGH GOD, then you will experience His mercy and grace in your life. He is always pursuing you. Now it is time to pursue HIM. You may be so far gone that you are unable to Hear him. But, I encourage you, sit, be at peace, and listen for the Lord your God is longing to spend some alone time with you. Rid yourself of the distractions of this world. Silence your cell phones, turn off your television, and shut out the constant noise around you! Be still and just listen. Allow Him to meet you where you are at. You are never too far to hear the Shepherd's call if you would just LISTEN.

Remember that every cause has an effect. I know that there are some unique circumstances in which we find ourselves in turmoil due to no fault of our own. However, think about it. How many of us have found ourselves in turmoil we have created? Now, I don't recommend you to dwell on the past. Nor am I here to place guilt upon you for the choices you have made. I can testify to quite a few poor decisions I have made in my own life. However, I am here to reinforce the fact that regardless of how often or how much we shut God out of the affairs of our life, we are always welcome to come back Home, sitting at the feet of our Savior. He WILL admonish us according to our transgressions. Remember though, He will NEVER forsake us because His love is unconditional. If you remember anything from this blog today, just remember these simple words that were catchy enough to become a song, "Just call my name, and I'll be there"! JUST CALL HIS NAME AND HE WILL BE THERE!

Be encouraged my dear friends wherever you are in your walk with Christ, even when you are not in His will. HE WILL MEET YOU WHERE YOU ARE AT! Praise the Lord!

All my love and blessings to you....
